Low whistles
These low whistles have an aluminum body and tuning slide.
The mouthpiece is made from black ABS plastic.

Low whistles are available in G and A at a cost of $130.
F whistles are $160.
For now I'm putting Low D whistles on hold.
As much as I enjoy making and playing them I don't get that many orders for them so I think for now I'll be focusing on mid range low whistles and high whistles.
Anyway, there are plenty of great makers of Low D whistles out there so you'll have plenty to choose from!

The internal windway of the mouth piece is tapered.
This results is a whistle that doesn't require a huge amount of pressure to sound.
The low A, G and F still take a bit of wind to sound but not quite the amount of back pressure that other low whistle makes would require.
This design feature was inspired by Pat O'Riordans fine work.

These whistles are tunable.
The tuning slide is a recess turned into the aluminium and inlaid with waxed cotton covered with plumbers tape or PTFE.
This type of tape is readily available in any local hardware but if you can't get any locally let me know and I'll throw a roll in with you're order. |  |
